Draft Of a Seeker

After years of practicing tango, Alain Brioudes embarked on a journey of unlearning and deconstructing everything he had learned. His goal was to uncover the very essence of tango, setting aside established patterns and dogmas. A necessary condition for extracting what was deeply dear to his heart and that belonged to no system.

Today, he defines himself much more as a tango wanderer, free from conventions and expectations. He embraces this joyful wandering that is the very heart of this exploration. His approach points to the evidence of the awareness of our own biomechanics.

“We are already what we seek, even if we haven’t yet recognized it.”

He favors spontaneous instruction at the heart of each movement, as well as the recognition of a living pedagogy that is innate to us, but which we have often forgotten. Making the student their own teacher.

His approach is centered on biomechanics and the accuracy of movement as the basis for every step, figure, or form of creativity. He invites us to express ourselves based on causes and no longer on consequences. To dance from our potential, not our programs.

To achieve this, the need to create a new form of teaching became evident, and it was only after many years of research across the globe that he began to compile and share this knowledge in a method, which he naturally named "The Beyond Tango Theory".
A revolutionary approach to teaching tango that takes you beyond conventions and boundaries. Whatever your style, whether alternative or purely traditional, discover the toolbox to investigate over steps and figures, and embrace your authenticity.
